Mānuka Water & Kawakawa Toner - Balancing and Soothing

A soothing and balancing toner that is formulated with Mānuka water and kawakawa water. The mildly astringent and PH balancing qualities of Mānuka water work to close the pores on your face, while also tightening and gently cleansing the skin. Further, the anti-inflammatory properties of the Kawakawa water reduces morning redness and calms the skin. This toner will close the pores and provide a healthy PH level, leaving your skin feeling fresh.

Uses

• mildly astringent toner formulated to close the skin's pores, cleanse, and balance PH levels

Directions

After cleansing, splash toner onto a cotton pad and dab onto the face and neck, making sure to avoid the eye area. Apply face cream afterwards.

Science

Kawakawa leaves contain a component called myrsticin which helps trigger the release of nitric oxide from cells. The release of nitric oxcide is the body's anti-inflammatory response which means kawakawa aids the body in responding to inflammation. What this means is that the plant is generally soothing and helps with reduction of blemishes, rashes & skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis. The constituents found of mānuka are high in leptospermone, a compound found in the plant species leptosperum scoparium (New Zealand Mānuka). It nourishes your skin with long chain fatty acids, and helps maintain skin pH balance.
